Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that gun no. 33244 was ordered by a 'Norman' as one of a pair of best quality 16-bore Royal ejector self-opening guns with 26 1/2in. barrels, serial numbers 33244 / 5. The gun was completed on the 23rd June 1938, and the name 'Norman' crossed out and overwritten 'Showring'
